Sourced from Tāla (palmyra) palms in Tamil Nadu — dried in shade for 90 days, smoothed with rice paste, polished with conch shell. The same prep used in temple manuscripts.
Inscribed by hand
Laser-marked at archival depth so the script is permanent — not surface ink that fades. Manual Lekhani (iron-stylus) writing available on request as a premium upgrade.
Bound and packaged traditionally

A specific leaf is selected, cut to size, edge-trimmed, and pre-cleaned. This step takes about a week.

Why does it cost more than a printed report?⌄
A finished palm leaf is a hand-prepared artefact. The leaf itself can cost up to ₹1000 when sourced and processed to manuscript-grade. Add laser inscription, traditional packaging, and Speed-Post shipping — the price reflects the craft.
How long does it take?⌄
Three to four weeks from order to delivery within India. The leaf preparation alone is about a week; inscription and packaging another week; Speed-Post adds 4–7 days.
How long does the inscription last?⌄
A traditionally-prepared palm leaf, kept dry and away from direct sun, lasts 200–500 years. Several Olai Chuvadi temple manuscripts in Tamil Nadu are 300+ years old and still legible.
Can I read what is inscribed?⌄
Yes — the script is in Devanagari (Sanskrit / Hindi) by default. We can inscribe in Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada on request. The same details are also delivered to you as a digital PDF instantly.
